hump day

Not much going on...over here...ran up to Scrappy Chic last night...with Sommer...then came home and scrapped.....these are 2 layouts I got finished at the red cross crop over the weekend...this one of me and boo....love this paper, I got in the clearance at Scrappy Chic...and finally scrapped this pic of jeniece....she's crazy!! and then I got another page done for my art journal for Tally Scrapper...the journal prompt...was "the truth is"
when I posted this.....one of the comments was "your layouts seem so sad..beautiful , but sad" and at first I thought...oh..my gosh are they all sad...but you know what I am sad....and I think that a journal does reflect what you're feelin' right now....so this means that my feelin's are coming across in my journal....'cause yep...I'm sad...for sure!!

Love the one with Jenice and her teeth!! Too funny.

I agree the whole point of the journal is to reflect your state of mind at the time. I love the pic you used for it. Lovely!!

Your art should reflect you- every part of you and what you are feeling. I am proud of you for being so honest about how you feel right now. As you heal, you can look back and see how you've grown. Keep up the good work!

P.S. Love the "new us" layout

Some people view truthful scrapping as "sad". When I look at the pages you create about what you are dealing with, and how you are coping, I see strength. I see a woman who is setting a BEAUTIFUL example of how to mourn. I see a new life budding. I see love for someone who is dearly missed. I see perseverance. I see healing. I see someone who is not giving up. I see someone who is remembering a beautiful life. I see a woman who is learning to to keep on keepin' on. That to me, is never sad. Only soulful.

I think Rachel said it all! Your journal is beautiful and I love the way that you are coping with your loss through your art not keeping it all inside.

Wow...Rachel's comment made me cry. I completely agree with her.
