what the hell?????

yesterday I "tried" to scrapbook......twice...like seriously I kept going back into my room...and I have nothing..."mojo" wise that is....I have tons of great pictures, some awesome new product...I don't know what's wrong with me...but I don't like it!! Maybe it's because my table looks like this...??
I honestly feel like I have either forgot how to scrapbook?!! or I am just bored with how I scrapbook..........I am supposed to get together with renee on thursday hoping that will get me going..........love her work...always inspiring...and different..and raw....so renee bring anything new you've been working on, so I can touch and feel it!!! Lately when I sit at my table to scrap...I feel almost like I have an obligation to scrap...like I need to use this specific product or do a mini book....even if I don't feel like it...

and then to top it all off.....I had just walked out of my scraproom into the living room....and I was teasing sommer telling her to pack up all my supplies "I'm done".....and then she says "mom...I wish they never invented scrapbooking" and I was like What?? then get ready....she says "cause you never spend time with me...you're always scrapbooking" What?? is she serious....that is not helping my situation...yep..the guilt is not going to help........but this is where Ed would've jumped in and stopped her right there.......So I checked her a little...because me and girlfriend are together ALOT!!!!!! even in the last week....I took her to the auction with me, over jenieces, school shopping twice.....out to get her hair cut and lunch!!!! I guess that's one good reason...why we scrap...so we can show our kids.....some of the good stuff...that they always seem to forget....Okay I guess that's enough rambling....for a day!!! Looks like it's going to be rainy today.....love it!! kinda a peek into fall....I'm ready........

Love the title!
Some times i seriously feel like that too except my moment is like "WTF?!"...you just have to step back and find out what motivates you.;)
I read. Garden. Clean the house finally...snicker.

Enjoy the day girly!

Wow, girl, that is some seriously creative mess you've got goin' on there! :) Have you done a purge lately? You know, gone through your stash and pulled out the "stuff" you know you'll NEVER use? I did that right before our move, and it was a HUGE help....plus it felt good to give away all that extra! I could probably do it again soon....

Oh, here's another idea....maybe you could do a small project with Sommer, like ATCs or inchies or Christmas cards. Just something different, no photos, just creating! You'll get your mojo back, you just need to jostle it a little. :)

Yes, I too having been having a time with it trying to scrap.
My problem is that I get too overwhelmed with having so many neat things to use and add to a page. I feel like I want to use everything all at once and that's just not possible, lol!
I hope some inspiration strikes you real soon!

And yea, my dh always gives me the "I scrapbook too much" spiel! What's with these people? I think they need to find themselves a hobby!

I hear you on being bored with the way I scrap and on my space looking like such a disaster! I think I just go to the same kinds of designs all the time!

When I hit a wall with paper scrapping, I digi-scrap for a while. When I hit a wall with digi-scrappin', I paper scrap for a while. Maybe you should try it sometime. And then there's also hybrid scrapping which is the best of both. Maybe that will get ya going again.

Don't worry the "mojo gods" will be with you soon. My best advice, when I get that way is to just walk away. If I try to "force it" I get more and more frustrated! It will come to you...

Haha. Your table looks like my desk!!! (That makes me feel alot better!!) I think you should focus on something else for a little while. I agree that is you feel like it's forced, you'll get stuck in a rut. Here's to regaining your mojo!!

Love the title of your blog. When I am feeling blocked I usually turn to sketch for inspiration (insert shameless plug for my sunday sketches on my blog here). My daughter has said the same thign to me about scrapping. I just tell her that in order ot give her what she needs, sometimes mommy has to take time for herself.

It will return....you just need a break and some creative inspiration, try something NEW!!! Want to come over for a class in digi/hybrid scrappin ???? ROFL
and Sommer will get it someday....she's just at the age where it's all about them....you just need to let her know that everyone has to have time for themselves!

Ah, heck, we all lose our mojo once in awhile...it will return. Maybe try something you've never done before, or use something that you haven't touched for months????? Good luck!!!

I have been like that the past couple days, I start something and then just leave it there. I think I just need to read a book and get lost in it or something, that works sometimes!
Take a break, your mojo will come back quickly, your super talented and I can't wait to see your next layout

That happens to me whenever my desk gets overwhelmed. I just cleaned it off a week or so ago, and ended up getting about 10 pages done. The key for me was putting away everything - especially the stuff I use every time - and starting fresh with a clean slate. It made me find things back in drawers, including stuff I hadn't used before. Good luck!
