not much going on around here.....Sandi as soon as I finish the mini book ...I will post it...hope to work on it tonight.....

Thursday night...I had this cricket..that was in my room somewhere...didn't bother me too..much because I sleep with one of those sound machines...that sounds like your in the middle of the woods...so it kind of fit with the mood....but then last night....who is sitting on my blanket when I get ready to go to bed.....yep...mr. cricket!! So it took me a few tries but I scooped him up and threw him outside...but then it got me thinking about the meaning of stuff...you know like if you see a butterfly or dragon fly......which either one of those will stop me in my tracks......to just watch...but then I thought about the cricket...and even though this is what the meaning is if you dream about...crickets...I've learned crickets aren't a good sign..check this out -

To hear a cricket in one's dream, indicates melancholy news, and perhaps the death of some distant friend.
To see them, indicates hard struggles with poverty.

I don't want either one of those....

Yesterday....I got to go out to dinner with Miss J......which was fun!! Oh yeah...and I got one of these http://www.theflip.com/products_flip_ultra.shtml the girls are having a blast with it...of course just taping themselves doing stupid stuff!! but if I actually learn how to use it and up load it.....I will hopefully be able to get some videos on here too....??? we shall see!!

Don't worry too much about the cricket---put your energy to positive thoughts. Can't believe you were that calm about it! I would have freaked---hate bugs!

Then we are in big trouble because Nick has found a few crickets downstairs lately. Thanks for that thought this morning! Cool new gadget, I saw that on Stephanie Howell's blog too...scrapbookers always seem to have something new to buy, geez! I'm thinking maybe Nick would like that for Christmas. Let me know if you like it. Later, babe!

hmm I see crickets alot...I don't think I would have enjoyed sharing my bed with one though!! Ya I don't really like seeing bugs at all! But I wouldn't worry about it girl!!! The cricket probably just wanted to see if he could get some scrappy secrets from you!! lol

I think your cricket info is whacked!!
The singing of crickets in the folklore of Brazil and elsewhere is sometimes taken to be a sign of impending rain, or of a financial windfall.
In Asia, Crickets are kept as pets because they are considered good luck.
In Barbados, a loud cricket means money is coming in; hence, a cricket must not be killed or evicted if it chirps inside a house.

Oh, I LOVE my Flip Video!! It's so easy to use...can't wait to see what you and the girls come up with. It would be cool to hear your voices! :)

Have you seen the movie Mulan? I guess in ancient China, they used to carry a cricket around with them for good luck! Soooo, I guess it just depends on how you look at it....and I just realized that Rachel said the same thing! So see? It's true!

Staci, The cricket will find its way out of the house soon enough. Look at it this way, maybe it will help you sleep. I know when we camp they usually put me to sleep :)
