candle light

yesterday was kinda cool....I got to be in a commercial for great lakes weight and wellness....that's supposed to be on Comcast cable in this area...in the next week or two....but they wanted me to send a pic of me and ed...from our high school years...and I came across this beauty!!! don't you just love the matching colored shirts, my mullet and popped collar...I think I was 16 and Ed was 17...such babies!!! last night me and sommer went to a candle light rememberance at the funeral home.....it was really beautiful...and even though I've been to the funeral home many times...since..you can't help to replay the moments that happened there, I could see my friends and family....and also remember that , here was the last place I seen ed...
also on the way out they gave each family a white rose...this funeral home really goes beyond the norm..they're the ones that have the balloon release....it's the Ford Chapel in Rockwood, MI...they even send uplifting stories, and poems...through the year...and when I walked in the door...last night...they remembered my name...
Renee inspired me to do a couple pages in the art journal....which are always fun...got this title from a song from one of my favorite new shows "Ruby" on the style network the lyrics are "Am I not pretty enough, is my heart to broken" http://www.mystyle.com/mystyle/shows/ruby/index.jsp if you haven't seen it..you should watch it's basically a reality show of a woman trying to lose weight...and not just 20-30 pounds...I think she weighs 475 in the begining....and alot of the things she goes through I see in myself....
here is the other side of the page.......

What a great photo of you two! You look a little serious and so does Ed, but you can see a twinkle in his eyes. Love the journal pages. I think it's so awesome that you keep a journal as well.

OMGoodness!! Check out that collar pop! You two were babies...it's hard to believe we were once that young. That time feels like a lifetime ago for me.

Great journal pages!
