thanks for the nice comments on the video of my mini book....it's always hard to see what you look like on a video..and sound like....yikes!! but it was fun......what should I video tape now?? We are still having fun with it......even video taped jeniece giving me a tuturial on how to do dishes?? Lord knows I need it......speaking of dishes...I am having a family cookout tomorrow...and I need to get my house cleaned!!! but there is a problem....I hate cleaning....if you see my house...you will believe me...but I really do need to get it clean...meeting some new family members...So instead of spending the day scrappin' I will be doing what I hate most cleaning....and probably cover the "devil" pool too.....someone asked why I call it the devil pool?? It's just been a nightmare, the pool was Ed's project, but I wanted to keep it going for the girls.....from day one, it was a nightmare to get blue, the ladder broke, a hole in the tubes...hole in the liner.....I'm just not into it.......not feelin' it....don't want to mess with it....but anyway...I did finally finish a page it's of me and sommer at the auction at Scrappy Chic......

and then I did a page for my journal too.....used a library card I picked up from scrappy chic....too..cute!! How this came about is...I was staring out my kitchen door, looking at the trees, the yard....the sky...just nature and it made me think of life.....and how I feel about mine....and if I had to explain how I feel everyday....this is it....
but.....I do have moments of happiness, and I laugh, and I love and I am loved...but at the end of the day....it's back to those 3 words...last night was kind of a dark night...and really I did it to myself...before I know it I find myself...surrounded by all the cards I got from everybody, his cologne...and the recording of his voice...."saying I love you" as I was reading the cards....I kept saying why are you being so mean to yourself......put them away!!! I was affraid I was going to use up all the batteries in the recorder....just to hear him laugh on this recording....and to say I love you...I could just play it forever....he didn't want to die...he didn't want to leave us....and he didn't know that a few days after leaving this message he would die......it still is hard to convince myself...that this is really happening...

wow...didn't mean for this post to go there....but I just type what I am feeling...and that's it..

Mini book

Okay...I finally loaded this video...remember I can't see myself..so I never knew if I was holding the mini in the right spot...and for some reason the cat and chickens wanted to be there with me the entire time...so that's why I look paranoid..cause I was surrounded...I actually scrapbook last night too...whoo-hoo.....and I can't believe all the comments for the RAK...sommer is so excited to pick a winner....

It's finally time to give away a RAK.....just some stuff from my stash.....plus the entire grahton line from scenic route that I got with my scrapbook trends pub..because I already have it....lots of stuff...and even those tiny alphas from making memories that we all love!! all you have to do is leave me a comment on this post......and I will have Sommer draw a name on Monday..........

still trying to up load my video with my mini book....the file is kinda large...I can't believe I talked for almost 6 minutes...it didn't feel like it....but it's kinda wobly...and I can't see myself...so it's hard to get the feel of it....plus gracie attacks my feet during it...and the chickens.....yikes..how much more country can you get......so still trying to get that uploaded....Good luck with the RAK...can't wait to see who wins it....

well gotta pick up my house.....My sister in laws birthday is today...and everybody is coming over here......bye!

trying to figure out the camcorder still...isn't easy with dial up!! I know!! I know!! finished the mini book I've been working on...will post that tomorrow...and a RAK...I didn't forget...we are still having fun...video taping anything and everything....as you can tell....sorry abou the chicken video..ha,ha!!!

Thursday night...I had this cricket..that was in my room somewhere...didn't bother me too..much because I sleep with one of those sound machines...that sounds like your in the middle of the woods...so it kind of fit with the mood....but then last night....who is sitting on my blanket when I get ready to go to bed.....yep...mr. cricket!! So it took me a few tries but I scooped him up and threw him outside...but then it got me thinking about the meaning of stuff...you know like if you see a butterfly or dragon fly......which either one of those will stop me in my tracks......to just watch...but then I thought about the cricket...and even though this is what the meaning is if you dream about...crickets...I've learned crickets aren't a good sign..check this out -

I don't want either one of those....

Yesterday....I got to go out to dinner with Miss J......which was fun!! Oh yeah...and I got one of these http://www.theflip.com/products_flip_ultra.shtml the girls are having a blast with it...of course just taping themselves doing stupid stuff!! but if I actually learn how to use it and up load it.....I will hopefully be able to get some videos on here too....??? we shall see!!

Scrapbook Trends Toot!!

got an email from...Scrapbook Trends for the january issue....and it's one of my layouts of my neice alyssa.....so I am super geeked!!! Yesterday hung out at Scrappy Chic all day with renee played around with a mini book not finished yet...but actually enjoyed playing around with it....meet this sweet lady...at the store...(didn't catch her name) but she said she reads my blog..so I wanted to say hey...she had the cutest lil' guy with her......but it was a good day...renee is super inspiring...even if she doesn't think so!!

The store was unpacking lots of new stuff.......cute jenni bowlin stuff....and then I got these tiny picture frame embellishments...they're so cute...I will post a pic tomorrow...I almost have my RAK ready....Oh yeah..and I signed up for the yard sale at Scrappy chic...so I am going to be going through all my crap....to hopefully sell it...so I can buy more crap!! yay!!

Already???

yesterday...I got a post card with info about my 20 year class reunion!!! it's not till next july...but wow...it's hard to believe that next year I will be out of school 20years!! No luck on the mojo front yet....started to sit down and scrap last night...but then the kids wanted me to play texas hold 'em with them....so how could I pass that up...but it was the first time breaking open Ed's poker chips....every christmas eve we play texas hold 'em...with our entire family.....so there are alot of memories attatched to these chips...which if I think of it..I guess that's a good thing.......So I played and actually beat every one of their butts!!! oH yeah...

I am so excited!! that me and the girls are going to get our pictures taken by the very talented Robin over at Once upon a memory photography (not only an amazing photographer...but an awesome scrapbooker, she was on the DT at scrappy chic too) but I was lucky enough to get an appointment for this fall....on a very special day October 26th.....so if you get a chance check out her pics on her blog...gorgeous....I can't wait!!!! http://onceuponamemoryphotography.blogspot.com/2008/08/fall-days-are-almost-here.html

what the hell?????

yesterday I "tried" to scrapbook......twice...like seriously I kept going back into my room...and I have nothing..."mojo" wise that is....I have tons of great pictures, some awesome new product...I don't know what's wrong with me...but I don't like it!! Maybe it's because my table looks like this...??
I honestly feel like I have either forgot how to scrapbook?!! or I am just bored with how I scrapbook..........I am supposed to get together with renee on thursday hoping that will get me going..........love her work...always inspiring...and different..and raw....so renee bring anything new you've been working on, so I can touch and feel it!!! Lately when I sit at my table to scrap...I feel almost like I have an obligation to scrap...like I need to use this specific product or do a mini book....even if I don't feel like it...

and then to top it all off.....I had just walked out of my scraproom into the living room....and I was teasing sommer telling her to pack up all my supplies "I'm done".....and then she says "mom...I wish they never invented scrapbooking" and I was like What?? then get ready....she says "cause you never spend time with me...you're always scrapbooking" What?? is she serious....that is not helping my situation...yep..the guilt is not going to help........but this is where Ed would've jumped in and stopped her right there.......So I checked her a little...because me and girlfriend are together ALOT!!!!!! even in the last week....I took her to the auction with me, over jenieces, school shopping twice.....out to get her hair cut and lunch!!!! I guess that's one good reason...why we scrap...so we can show our kids.....some of the good stuff...that they always seem to forget....Okay I guess that's enough rambling....for a day!!! Looks like it's going to be rainy today.....love it!! kinda a peek into fall....I'm ready........

the auction

Went to the auction yesterday........when we first got there..we got to look around and figure out what we wanted.....there was another table full of stuff too...don't know why I don't have a pic...there were 3 things I had!! to have....a making memories travel line goodie bag, these tiny..tiny chipboard books from cloud nine...and a design book...
it started to fill up quick.....

I took sommer...she had alot of fun...and kept me from not blowing my bucks...and saving them for what I really wanted......there is just something bidding...you can go nuts!!!

and we are off!!! jenny was the auctioner....and she did an awesome job....she was selling......like crazy...going once...going twice...sold!!!

Okay now these I didn't win in the auction....but they caught my eye on the way out....BoBunny really has some of the most beautiful rubons....

another busy week ahead........but I am hoping the following week slows down...would like to take the kids to the zoo...before school starts....I really want to see the butterfly exhibit!!

Scrapbook Auction tomorrow!!

I am super excited to go to the scrapbook auction tomorrow at Scrappy chic......I missed it last year......so I think it will be fun...and check out my loot!! Okay it's only $75 scrap bucks...!! Last night I went up to SC and visited my peeps....who were croppin' I missed one peep "Alison" who had already left........?? But it was fun catching up with everybody....but I didn't stay long...had some olga's to go in the car, and I knew the kids went to the movies...so I just wanted to get home....and veg...!!

I did pick up these yummies......I've been wanting these...for awhile...so hopefully they will bring out something creative.....please!!?!

where have I been.....??

Seems like ages since I updated.......been pretty busy...had to hit the dentist this week...., started school shopping.....we had a missing cat...poor Gitta was missing for over a week....and then during project runway last night......Sommer screams that Gitta is home...I think he seen jeniece's truck....'cause he loves to milk her....yep..milk her!!! But he is skin and bones..so I don't know if he got locked up some where or what the story is....he's not talking!!! Supposed to hit scrappy chic tomorrow.....don't know if the supplies are coming... but I do plan on stoppin' in for a visit....miss everybody!!! Plus thanks to alison I am putting together a RAK.....will have to think of something...soon!!! I did do a little scrappin' today....seen this ad in a mag I was reading last night....and just loved the simplicity of it.... so then I made this....and as sommer quickly informed me...the title is messed up!! I told her it has a inside meaning....because I feel like that is how my head is going lately.....a million miles a minute....and it's all mixed up.....but that's about all the scrappin' I've done... also had a visit by my neice and nephew.......

and then while I was scrappin' sommer decided that I needed to do a page of us.....so she popped the camera out....guess I better get scrappin' these cause girlfriend will check up on them!!! Oh yeah...can you tell I've been messing with the hair color again!!!?

Vacations idea book....

Was so excited to get my copies of the vacation book....from scrapbook trends yesterday.....plus the goodie box!!!!

it was a cool goodie box...with the entire grafton collection..lots of rubons,chipboard...flowers,brads...and adhesive...

then I wanted to work on some stuff for the DT...so I got a couple pages done...

school shopping went pretty good....I think she got everything she needed...and she's already got her bookbag packed......but it was actually fun...Chris and Tonee' went with us too...and we went out to lunch...kind of made a day of it...

Today we are going to start school shopping.....thought I would break it up so we are not doing everything in one day.....so I think we are just going to do the supplies....today!!! that's the easy part.......so sommer is pretty excited!!! I did a page last night....for the DT using the new graphic 45 paper.... love this picture of me and lil' mikey...it was taken 11/3/07 so just a few days after the funeral....I really don't know how I've made it this far??!! But this lil' guy has helped distract me along the way.....he was over yesterday...and he always drags this picture of all of us at tonee's graduation around the house...he does it so much I've already had to replace the frame because he beats it up....but I love that he loves the picture and points out each of us...and mom had him saying uncle ed....when he pointed to ed...and then he would point to the sky(heaven)...and then he would start doing his baby talk to the sky.....it was cute!! the other night...I went out to the cemetary..to make sure ed's light worked......so it was my first time being out there at night....but the light it like a solar one...so you have to wait till dark...and it was so beautiful to watch all the lights start lighting up all over....his took awhile...but it lit........Well I am off...gotta get ready to go.....

more baby stuff...

yesterday did a little retail therapy...scrapbook style...and then ordered the coolest kit online...will take a couple pics of some of the goodies....I did finish another page of alyssa....good thing there are a couple baby page calls this month...I would be so excited to get alyssa pubbed...so gonna try and work on some more pages of her before the deadline....on this one I liked playing with all those tim holtz treasures..... Sommer is off to the zoo....today...she's pretty excited...and then I think I am going to pick up an easy dinner (and by easy I mean drive through chinese) for me and chris...Tonee' went camping....so she'll be gone til' sunday....it's awful quiet around here....

Project runway....

I know I haven't talked too..much about project runway....but I am hooked...and get together with jeniece every wednesday night...to watch it..usually at her house...(I don't have air conditioning...and if you know jeniece..I need not say more) but I think she is coming over my place tonight....so everybody invited over tonight........but it takes me awhile to figure out who's my fav.....and usually they become my fav...not because they make fab designs...it's usually because they entertain me....and so far....Blayne..is that person!! he's so different....and then I really like Kenley too.....now I think she has a great chance at winning......I have been in the worst scrap hole eva.....just haven't been feelin' the love for scrappin' lately...which to be honest scared the crap out of me..!!!!! But finally last night something....broke...and I felt the love again...and did a page of alyssa...how could I not do a page about those legs!!! used some of the new pink paislee....which is in at scrappy chic!!! check out their blog for all the new CHA stuff coming in http://scrappychiclivonia.blogspot.com/ I think I might actually clean my house..today....?? maybe!! no promises...cause if the scrap table calls.....who am I to turn it down!!!

forgot to post my layout I did for the gutter girlz challenge......started this one at alisons crop last weekend....we had to use white out...so I journaled on it... did this one for a challenge at TallyScrapper.....about home..

and yesterday....I babysat baby alyssa...she's so sweet...Tonee' was trying to get her to wear her sunglasses already...

here's her cute lil' frog legs......she was so good...I was a little nervous only because lil' mikey had colic...so he would pretty much cry the entire time we had him, but alyssa..just ate and slept...at least when sommer would put her down long enough!!!
