Somerset Memories toot X 3!!!

got an email yesterday from somerset and they want 3 layouts.....and I love!! the layouts that they picked so I am super excited!! One is of Ed and the other 2 are of Tonee'.....shhh..don't tell sommer..ha,ha......We are supposed to get together with jeniece and the kids....to go to some moonbounce jumpy place....I know I am getting old....when I would rather....scratch my eyes out...than go...but I know that sommer will have fun....and to be honest I probably will too..once I get there...I think I am just scarred from years and years of chucke cheese visits!!! Last night I finished a page for a challenge over at TallyScrapper you had to use crayons on your page.......so I did an outline in black crayon...which Ilike the way it looks on the textured paper...and then I colored behind the word lunch.....

I got this mini book from Miki...it was one of those tabbed books from scenic route? I decided that it would be a cute album for my scrap celeb pics....that I really didn't know what to do with!!!

Tonee' got her braces off......and she is lovin' her new chompers...which makes me happy, I needed braces when I was younger and my parents could'nt afford it.....so when me and Ed found out that Tonee' needed them....we really wanted to get them for her....even though we had to struggle to pay for them.....we did it...and she ended up having to wear them for almost 4 years.......but they look great...and she's happy.... finished a layout using some of the new making memories noteworthy paper.....yum!!!
also finished another mini album..this one I used some mini coin envelopes...and printed my pics on them...and I love these travel die cuts from heidi swapp....perfect for the cover....

nice monday....

last night....I did this page....started it at home..,then took it to jenieces...and messed with it.......but then brought it back home..and finally finished it..Last Novemeber when I knew that Ed's work was coming to get his work truck...after I cleaned out his stuff...I took a couple pics....and now I am glad I did...it was hard to watch it leave..for the last time...I found comfort having it in the driveway?? but it's even harder to pass it on the road....which thankfully has only happened a few times....you just kinda hope that he's behind that wheel..even though you know he's not!! look at the lilacs that sommer picked for me on mothers day...
I love when our bush blooms....


just wished that they lasted longer......

Happy Mothers Day.....

It's mothers day.....was hoping for better weather...cause we wanted to cook out...but mom still made some yummy....hot dogs/bratts, potato salad, baked beans.....cake...and I ate it all and alot....yikes !! May have to kick it in overtime this week for weight watchers.......the good thing is that I have my grief group...this wednesday...so I may have to miss weigh in..."yikes" One bad thing that happened this mothers day is that something attacked my chickens.....I was on the back porch feeding them......went in the house helped my mom put away groceries...and then seen one of the chickens acting funny hiding in the tall grass....so when I peeked around the yard....I seen feathers all over the yard....so it's pouring rain...I am running around the yard doing a head count on the chickens.....2 are missing....well I found one...."bless her heart" she was dead....and then our mini rooster is missing....my brother showed up and buried her...and searched the field for the rooster but no sign of him....plus I have no idea what did this.....we never heard anything and usually attacks don't happen during the day...unless it's a dog.....so that stunk...!!! but besides that it was an okay mothers day....My mom got me a gift card for dick blick art store...that I am excited about!! And last night I went over Sandi's and I got 2 pages done.....she taught a page...and cooked us dinner...and we cropped till midnight!! Plus she made me the cutest circle overlays.......as soon as I use one ...i will post a picture...

got the entire family to play some Wii...I think bowling was the favorite...and my parents were so good at it!!!!

Done a couple challenges over at tally scrapper...this one was to not use any pictures , and do a page or mini book about an important event....and I have been wanting to write out....what exactly happened the day ed was missing....

So the entire book is just words and paper.....and I thought it would've only been a few pages...but once I started typing...i just couldn't stop!! so I didn't post all the pages here...they're all posted over at tallyscrapper...

and this journal page is also for a challenge...this was a fun one cause you just had to scraplift a fellow tally that inspires you....so I lifted lorelle....

and then I finished a layout for the DT at Scrappy Chic...using some copper hambly paper....

heading over to sandi's workshop tonight......so looking forward to it...

Stacy Julian rocks!!!

okay...first her name is awesome!! ha,ha...well last night I went to the opening ceremonies.....for the mega meet...and got to pick up my free copy of her photo freedom book.....it was kinda embarrasing...when the 3 of us essay winners had to stand up before stacy came out...but everybody was sweet and gave us...all a great applause.... love this pic that carla took...it' looks like stacey is about to punch my eyelets out..but actually we were just talking about the spelling of our names....

thanks for all the supportive comments yesterday.....it was a rough day...and today is a little better....just found out like 30 minutes ago that I get to go to the stacey julian keynote at the opening ceremonies tonight at the mega meet!! So I am super pumped to listen to what she has to say...I have heard that her speeches are awesome and uplifting....so couldn't of got this news at a better time, plus I get to pick up my copy of her new book that I won.....jeniece came over last night to watch P.S. i love you with me....it felt good to vent....and the movie was good......I completely understood alot of it...at one point she calls her phone just to hear the answering machine...because her husband voice was on it....and to this day if you call our house...it's Ed's voice your gonna hear...but it only took the girl in the movie a year, to find a new man, a great career...and kinda figure out her new life.......but I liked it.. The guys got the lawnmower going...love this pic of 3 generations of Mikes....I kept teasing them..."how many Mikes does it take to fix a lawnmower?" and as I watched my brother pick up lil' mikey to ride with him while he cut the grass, I could'nt help to think of Ed...doing the same..last summer.
