Fathers Day.....

Fathers day went as good as it could have.....had mom and dad, and my brother and michelle over....we cooked up two giant pans of lasagna....after we ate we went outside and lil' mikey was our entertainment ....here Gitta and Duke (my brothers dog) get to know each other...
Until Gitta finally said "hell to the no" Gitta thinks he's a big ol' dog...doesn't realize this dog could kick is flabby but....yeah..I said flabby...look at his lil pooch...( I feel your pain)

I kept teasing mikey about his cute mandals....

and our new entertainment is we all chant for mikey to jump!! and then he does...I love this picture where I caught his little feet in the air...as he was jumping for our entertainment...

and had to get a picture of the father....too...with me and my baby brother..

after everyone left me and sommer headed to the cemetary...we picked up a couple balloons...and wrote stuff all over them...

Sommers first balloon popped in the car......it broke her heart...but I finally got her to come out and wrote a message on Tonee's balloon...(note to self bring an extra balloon next time) there was something really beautiful about watching the balloons disappear into the clouds......and when I started writing on mine....I couldn't stop...so much to say.....I really felt like he was waiting for them....sommer finally had to stop me...I probably needed a couple balloons...

and the headstone didn't make it to his spot...but we stopped by the shed to see it....I really like the way it turned out....just need to get it to it's spot....

Somerset Memories Toot X 3 !!!

got 3 more layouts picked up for somerset memories........have I told you how much I love them over there??? and let me introduce you.....hellooo..."other" lover....... I finally tried the craigs list...everybody said you could find great deals....but I was kinds scared thought I was gonna get bonked over the head...when I walked through the door...but they were the sweetest couple....and you can tell they took care of the typewriter...plus they had lots of refills and cleaning stuff for it!!

also stopped by the cemetary just hoping that they put Ed's headstone on....but nope....of course not!! I had to search for it....and finally found it ..on the side of the shed in some grass....It's just hard for me to beleive that a cemetary doesn't have anything to move a headstone with??? I mean isn't that kinda what they do...??? but I know it's just a stone...and it's not Edward...but I really just need it done...I need it where it is supposed to be....

well on my way over to jenieces hoping to do a little croppin' since my supplies are still in my car from my creative memories crop last night, which as you can tell cause there are no pages posted....I did nothing....well I actually started a page...but nothing done....so hopefully tonight..but it was fun hanging out and chit chatting with everybody.......bye..

fathers day is coming!! gulp....

Trying to stay positive this weekend with fathers day....first I would like to ask for you to send some prayers to my girl jeniece who's dad was admitted to the hospital....and I know that she could use some extra prayers for her and her family....and Carla who just lost her dad a few months ago....and how tough I am sure this fathers day will be.....this holiday has really just made me look at my girls...and it just breaks my heart that I can't bring their dad back...I still have my dad...so really don't know what it's like....but when I see them at 11 & 18 without their dad...it just should'nt be that way.....But we are planning to cook up a giant batch of lasagna for sunday....and celebrate dad's , we can still celebrate and remember what an awesome dad he was...and we are going to take some balloons with special messages to cemetary on sunday...and release them....

Beach Days.....

the weather was so beautiful yesterday...when we hit the beach at sterling state park..... me and sommer spent the entire day there.....

sommer dragged me out in the water a couple times...the water was the perfect temp...it felt so good.....

and everytime we go we collect a couple shells....that we keep in a glass vase....we have years of shells in there....

so it was alot of fun....and so relaxing, besides having a rowdy bunch next to us....but when you go there, the view...the sand between your toes....it's just such a great escape!!

so when we got home...me and sommer looked like lobsters....and are pretty much in pain right now from awful sunburns.....for some reason I bought a very low spf sunblock...and it pretty much did nothing!! But when I came home to this footlong weiner (hee,hee) i felt a little better....I mean would'nt you feel better if you came home to a footlong weiner??

found me a typewriter...

I've been without my typewriter for a few weeks.....oh my gosh I miss it...well everybody told me to keep checking craigslist...and I found one....and I am picking it up tomorrow...can't wait!! to be typing again!! Yesterday I did a couple things for challenges....this one is for a challenge at tallyscrapper...you had to do it about an inannimate object http://www.tallyscrapper.com/scrapbook_gallery_challenge.php?challenge_id=395
and then I entered 2 ATC challenges....used some of that woodgrain contact paper I got from erin....and I am sending this one to TallyHo...
and this was for another challenge...where you had to do 3 that went together...

off to the beach.....relax,escape......I need to..

I was really hoping that Ed would have his headstone on for fathers day...so when I got a phone call from the cemetary yesterday...I thought good...it must be in...but just like everything else during this time....nothing ever goes easy...it was delivered..but it was put behind the shed...and I guess they have no way of moving it to his spot...I feel like everything...has to have a little catch...so she is calling the company and seeing if they can come back and put it where it goes...!! hopefully before sunday......

it's raining.....

woke up this morning to a cool...rainy day....love it..and last nights storm was so gorgeous....me and sommer went and sat on the back porch to watch the storm come in.....(on a side note...see those blue beach chairs..I am in love with those they're called big boy chairs....and have a much higher weight limit...for larger peeps....nothing more frightening to a big person to show up at a cook out and all around you are those plastic tiny chairs....that you know your booty is either going to not fit into..or you're going to take out a leg...and it ain't gonna be pretty" ) it started to get real dark....quick!! can you see gracie on the right side...he just sat there in the corner of the yard.....looking right at the sky....
I finished another page for the DT at Scrappy Chic...I love those felt letters from prima....I have the red and brown...and wish I would've got the black too....just took a few pics....around Carleton....

ahhh...this new paper from making memories is so dang awesome.....and I think you can tell I am slightly addicted to my new postage stamp from making memories....

I've got another family.....thing going on too..I have an uncle who I've never met because he has been in prison since ...the 60's....for armed robbery of a party store , and a cashier was killed....I guess he's in his 70's now...but he's coming home.......could be interesting...

If the weather is nice tomorrow...I think me and sommer are going to escape to the beach....pack up the cooler with some hotdogs,chips...and pop...when we go...we spend the entire day there...we almost close down the place....Is it time to go back to school yet......hee,hee...
