back on the team......

I am so excited to be back on the Scrappy Chic Design team, and I can't wait to meet the new ladies....next week!!! When I went over erins the other day she gave me this kitchen floor samplee pieces.....and she was going to make a mini book...so I gave it a shot too...it's kinda simple...but here it is..

I was thinkin of giving it to my sister in law........

Yesterday I had a weird experience....was a the walmart...and this woman comes up to me with this music cd in her hand, and asks if I listen to christina aguilara ? and I said sometimes....she asks if I've heard of this song,which she starts to sing some of the words, cause she didn't know the title...and as soon as she started...I knew right away the song....I told her oh..yeah..I know that one it's a tear jearker one....I said I just lost my husband, and this is one of those songs that get you crying, well she looks at me and starts crying!!!! she tells me that she just lost her husband too...in nov!! then she says he just went to work and never came home!!! I was like...."mine too"........I felt awful...cause I felt her pain, she was not in a good place...then she says "can I give you a hug?" she was the sweetest lady......so why did'nt I give her my phone number or email....or invite her to my support group....it's kinda driving me crazy....I mean what are the chances that she picked me....to ask this question , in a store full of people....I just wish I wouldn't of passed up a chance to connect with her....or reach out to her....but I will keep her in my prayers.....and will be ready next time......just thought it was a little weird..

Somerset Memories Magazine toot!!

got an email requesting one of my layouts....for an upcoming issue...and it's one of my fav's of Tonee' showing her tattoo of her dad's name....so excited...love it!! Yesterday I got to go hang out at erins "adorable" apt......she was making the cutest button flowers...and my pic stinks the sun was so bright...it washed out my pic....

we ran to joann's to check out the $1 bins....and look at these cute books...and the were only .50cents . I've been wanting to alter a real book...and for .50cents...this will be a good start!!!
babysitting the nephew today........here is the new signal...that I am about to change a poopy diaper....

he stands behind the curtains.....so you just see this big lump in the drapes...and you hear lil' grunts.....and your not aloud to look , he gets mad!! so of course I took a pic......hee,hee!! he's going to love me ...when he gets older. It's funny when they get to an age where they get shy about this.....probably getting ready for potty training.......

I was so bummed last night after project runway......first my girl stood me up!! but I will let her off this time........but then Chris was sent home.....I love him...he's so funny..and sweet!! and you know I've got a soft spot for the big guys....but I had no doubt that he was in....loved his outfits...even the "hair"....I thought they were beautiful...but oh..well...now I just have to root for christian!!! Can't wait till next week season finale!!!

Sommer had a snow day yesterday......it was so cold!!! she was playing outside in the snow...and I wanted to get some pics of her in the snow...cause for some reason ,snow pics seem to always get missed....probably cause it's freezing!! So before she attacked me with the snowballs...we got one pic of the two of us...what's funny about his pic...is that you can't tell that I am wearing capris and ed's work boots.....thank goodness the camera didn't catch that...hee,hee!!
okay here comes sommer.....wait what is that in her hand?oh..no she isn't she would'nt throw a snowball at her mom!!! okay now is when I should've put the camera away..and get my freezing but back in the house....

splat!!! all over my coat.........yeah..she thought that was pretty funny!!

i have to admit that i was loving the fact that we were getting covered in snow...if it were up to me...everyday would be like this.....I know that I am in denial...about Summer coming...I'm just not ready, for sunny days....to see the green grass.....too..many reminders of Ed....the pool..the garden....the flowers..just keep; it all covered in snow.....then I won't have to deal with it....Sommer is looking forward to summer....she says she can't wait to go barefoot...in the grass....

I am packing up some supplies...to go hang out over at erins...I think I am going to take my VA mini book I am working on.....it will be fun...and hopefully I don't get lost........Friday I am going to a fundrasier crop in flatrock too, with the some of the girls I used to work with at CJ's

I got the scrap bug yesterday, and got 2 pages done, this first one has some pic's that I really wanted to scrap, but at first they were too..painful....these are pics of me on sweetest day when ed , surprised me with roses at a weekend crop I was at...and I have struggled with the pics...just because i can't stand how happy and clueless I am.....I have no clue that in 6 days...I will lose the love of my life, and that my life as I knew would never be the same, I'ts kinda like that brad paisley song "if I could write a letter to me".....oh I would just tell myself to go home and enjoy every minute I had left with him, snuggle on the couch.....rub his back a few extra times...couple hundred extra kisses....but I am glad that JJ was there to capture the memory..
and then I did this one for the challenge over on the "STW" blog....we had to use kristie bentley for inspiration....

the dentist went good today, they ended up just doing 2 fillings instead of the root canal...and I wasn't going to fight 'em on that one.......It's been a few hours and I still am talking like rocky balboa....but that just means that the pain shots are working!!! and that's fine with me.......go back again in about 2 weeks..for another filling...then..we will start the root canals....yay.... "aaaddddrrriiannnee"

went croppin' yesterday with jeniece, also ran into..carla and Kathy...who both looked great, and was good to see them...I only got one layout done......of lil' mikey...sommer took these pics of him...and I really like how they're not perfect...and finally got to use one of the labels I got from paper source...love them...look what's in at SCRAPPY CHIC!!! finally got my hands on some of this pink paislee papers...my favorite one is the polka dot one with numbers down the side.....yum!! Can't wait to play......

Found out today that my brother and sister in law's new baby is going to be a "girl" and gotta be honest I was hoping for a boy...cause his middle name would've been Edward....but as long as she's healthy...that's what matters...but I can't believe this little guy is going to have a lil sister.....Ed would've been so excited to have another baby....in the family...took this pic of mikey on saturday.....look at that mouth...it reminds me that I have a dentist appt tomorrow....for a root canal!!! yay....

I've been tagged.....

I finally did some scrappin' last night.....had the house to myself...sommer was at my brothers....so I was just quietly scrappin' at my table....when around 10pmish..there was a loud bang at my door....sounded desperate...It scared me as I peeked through the front door.....It was jeniece....what the...??? and her reason for stopping by ...besides to see my beautiful mug!! she needed a jenni bowlin jouraling thingy....in pink!! Only scrappers!!! If were on a roll...were on a roll!! She's so funny.....so here is the page that I did last night...used the new jenni bowlin paper...In the past week I had only done one layout....I was getting scared....so it felt good to scrap again!! 10 years ago: We lived in a tiny trailer in flatrock, sommer was 1 & Tonee' was 8 (ahhh..I'm gonna cry) I was 26 & Ed was 27......I worked at Cj's party store....we were young and happy...and my favorite ages of my girls...

Things on my to-do list today: stop at grocery store get the fixin's for taco salad...or enchilada bake?? then go home take a nap....get up throw a load of dishes in...and a load of laundry...as dinner's cooking...got the house to myself...plan on staying up late, watching a new saturday night live...and scrappin'....I love to scrap during SNL...laughin' and scrappin'....and then tomorrow..plan on croppin' at the zone.....

What I would do if I were suddenly made a billionaire: Pay off all my bills, buy a new car, a log cabin on the lake, with a huge crop room.....travel all over to scrap events...and take all my favorite celeb classes.....pay off all my familys bills and buy them homes and cars too...(okay jeniece I would pay off your bills and buy you a car and house too...what the heck I'm a billionaire)

5 things people don't know about me:yikes...If I can't lock the bathroom door...while I am in there..it kinda freaks me out, even at home. I am always affraid of falling...not anywhere high or anything...just tripping and falling( I think that's old age setting in) ! In high school I wanted to be a fashion designer(even though I have no sense of fashion...just give me a Tshirt and some jeans...but I always loved it on other people.. I fear restaurant booths won't go near them. and I want to be famous:)

Okay a few weeks ago over on benitas blog http://imascrapbooknut.blogspot.com/search?updated-max=2008-01-27T23%3A15%3A00-05%3A00&max-results=10 she posted pics of a clip it up-ish storage thing she did....and I completely loved it...and tried to do a smaller version....and if you look at her stuff to mine, you will see why I needed a smaller one....so I found these badge holder clips on clearance at michaels...and a wood pole.... and under my shelf..there were already circles to put the pole through...
and here it is with about 60 clips on it....and as you can tell I am "punishing" that wood pole....I think I am going to have to get the metal one....cause I want to get one more pack of clips.....but I love it...and it's all hanging right in front of me...now to figure out what to do ...when I need to pack it up when I crop!!?? yikes...

I finally did a page.....after the weekend at scrapbowl...I was all inspired...but then when I went to scrap ....I had nothing..so was glad to get one done....used some scraps from the class...and of course "make stuff"Okay this is my last batch of pics.....I just had so much fun...we couldn't of done it with out the awesome "mapquest"...even if we did get lost a few times(hee,hee)this bridge was so beautiful....

and luckily renee was taking just as many pics as me....eyes on the road..eyes on the road.....

another great find at scrap source were these monster clips...the big ones are like the size of the palm of my hand....

I have heard people talk about paper source before, but we don't have any of them in michigan, so before class on sunday, we decided to head to george town..... oh..my gosh there was so much to look at...tons of paper, labels...vintage stuff.....you almost need a second visit to take it all in.....

we had the hardest time picking out which papers we wanted ...but we did find 2 of the patterns that KC used in the mini book class.....

we were nervous that we were going to be late for class, only because we got lost like 3 times...in town!! the roads are just laid out different.....but we made it...and early!!

and I was so happy to finally meet Vee...in person!! I have been loving her work....for a long time!!! and she was so cool!!!

Scrap Bowl

I know it's not going to be too...shocking when you hear that I took a ton of pics....but here are some of us from saturday!! lovin' the goofy pic, by the scrapbowl sign........of me and renee.....we were so excited about our kristina class... so we got there early to do some shoppin' and I wanted to try and see some online friends...and a scrap celeb. or 2...seen stacey julian and donna downey....when we first got there...but no pics....then as soon as we got there...i ran into laura soloman...who I have been wanting to meet..IRL...so that was cool to run into her right off the bat....

look at all those croppers...I think there were like 500!!! and here was the sign in front of our classroom!!

if you know me..you know that Kristina Contes is my fav!! scrapper...just love everything she makes!! so I was so nervous...me and renee kept joking that we were so crazy..but we both just really get inspired by her, and she makes me want to scrap...she was so down to earth...and friendly,...and awesome....and I had to get a pic right away...

here's renee..digging in to her class kit!! see her smile...we pretty much couldn't wipe the smiles off our faces....it was kinda funny!!!

kristina...teaching....she was such a freestyle teacher, just kinda got ya started and then let you go....your thing...loved it!

oh...come on you know that I had to get an autograph!! I know she has already checked into a restraining order...hee,hee!
